Whoa! Cadillac has just dropped a jaw‑dropping, all‑black version of its flagship SUV, and it’s headed straight for Japan.

General Motors Japan, led by President and CEO Itaru Wakamatsu, announced the Escalade Noir Edition, a special‑edition model that will never leave the Japanese market.

The centerpiece of the Noir’s exterior is a matte black XPEL Stealth paint‑protective film that blankets the hood, side panels and rear tailgate. Cadillac says the film adds an elegant sheen while being scratch‑resistant and easy to maintain.

Complementing the matte finish, the front grille is finished in gloss black, creating a striking contrast with the flatter matte surfaces. New 22‑inch, 18‑spoke rims in midnight aluminum complete the stealthy look.

Inside, the blacked‑out theme continues with exclusive Noir Edition trims, a contrasting wood‑grain panel, and a unique “ornament” on the passenger side. Floor mats bear a limited‑edition nameplate and silver‑colored piping.

The Escalade Noir Edition will be priced at ¥21,000,000, roughly $133,000, and production is capped at just 20 units, making it a true collector’s item.

Mechanically, the Japanese‑spec Escalade stays true to its American counterpart: it rides on Cadillac’s Air Ride Adaptive Suspension, features Magnetic Ride Control, and is powered by a 6.2‑liter V8 engine.

Technology remains unchanged, with the massive 55‑inch curved LED display, AKG in‑car surround sound system and a tablet‑sized command center at the driver’s fingertips.

In short, the Escalade Noir Edition delivers the same powerhouse performance and luxury tech as the regular Escalade, wrapped in an ultra‑black, limited‑run package that will only ever be seen on Japanese roads.
