Nismo Nick Unveils Supercharged Manual‑Transmission Pathfinder and V‑8 Off‑Road Variant at SEMA

Arizona‑based Nissan enthusiast Nick Sherr debuted a 501‑hp supercharged manual Pathfinder and a V‑8‑powered off‑road sibling for the Pathfinder’s 40th anniversary.
Nick Sherr, known online as Nismo Nick, rolled out two heavily modified R51‑generation Nissan Pathfinder concepts at the 2026 SEMA Show to mark the model’s 40th anniversary.
The first, dubbed the Trackfinder, replaces the stock powertrain with a VQ40 V‑6 equipped with a Z1 Off‑Road supercharger and an UpRev tune. The build team claims the setup delivers 501 horsepower at the wheels, roughly double the stock output, though no crankshaft figure is provided.
Power reaches the ground through a six‑speed manual gearbox featuring a Centerforce clutch and flywheel, a layout Sherr says was inspired by the GMC Typhoon. Supporting components include roll‑forged wheels, Goodyear Eagle F1 All‑Season tires, a Seibon carbon‑fiber hood, Nismo‑style graphics and quad exhaust outlets. Sherr described the project as intended to make people laugh, smile, and question everything you thought you knew about a Pathfinder, and noted that no performance metrics or lap times were released.
The second concept, the Trailfinder, embraces the Pathfinder’s off‑road heritage. It swaps in a VK56 V‑8 engine and adds a Z1 Off‑Road Titan‑swap X‑Pro suspension, a large brake kit, an aftermarket intake and a snorkel. Wheels are fitted with 35‑inch Hankook Dynapro AT2 Xtreme tires, complemented by rock sliders, Hammerhead Armor bumpers and Rigid Industries lighting.
Both vehicles feature extensive body and interior revisions that echo design cues from the current D41‑generation Nissan Frontier, while retaining the Pathfinder’s body‑on‑frame, three‑row layout.
Sherr has previously built several Nissan projects that aim to fill perceived gaps in the brand’s enthusiast offerings, prompting speculation about whether either concept might influence Nissan’s future direction.
