PUBG to become Netflix live‑action series with Donald Glover at the helm

Krafton confirmed a Netflix adaptation of PUBG starring and directed by Donald Glover.
Krafton announced on 30 October that its flagship battle‑royale title PUBG is being adapted into a live‑action series for Netflix.
Donald Glover is slated to direct, write, executive produce and appear in the show.
Joining him behind the scenes are his brother Stephen Glover and his Atlanta writing partner, both listed as writers and executive producers.
The production will also be overseen by Michael Schaefer for Neon TV, Fam Udeorji for Gilga, and Taeseok Jang and Sujin Lee for LV3H, Krafton’s entertainment division that is handling development and production.
No release window, storyline or additional cast members have been disclosed.
Glover, a two‑time Emmy and Golden Globe winner best known for Atlanta and Community, joins a franchise Krafton describes as “one of the world’s most enduring gaming franchises,” which holds seven Guinness World Records for popularising the battle‑royale genre.
Earlier this month Krafton said development on the PUBG spin‑off Black Budget had ended; the company also publishes titles such as Subnautica and In Zoi.
