Investors and clinicians await data from Kymera Therapeutics’ mid‑stage eczema study, a result that could reshape the immunology market.

Dupixent’s dominance in immunology has set a high bar for new entrants. The Sanofi‑Regeneron biologic has become the top‑selling immunology drug, delivering tens of billions in revenue and treating 1.4 million patients for eczema, asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Kymera Therapeutics, a Massachusetts‑based biotech, is positioning its lead candidate, KT‑621, as a potential rival. The company plans to announce data from a mid‑stage clinical trial in eczema before the end of the year.

Jefferies analysts, using the shorthand “I&I” for immunology and inflammatory disorders, have called the upcoming readout “one of the most impactful I&I readouts this year.” Their assessment underscores the high stakes for Kymera, its competitors and the millions of U.S. eczema sufferers.

The trial results could also influence Kymera’s broader ambitions to target other immunological conditions, including chronic spontaneous urticaria and asthma.

Visible Alpha analysts estimate that, if successful, KT‑621 could achieve sales of nearly $4 billion by 2035, with more than $3 billion attributable to eczema.

All eyes are on the data, which could either cement Kymera’s place in the market or reaffirm Dupixent’s lead.
