Heartfelt and urgent—Today show co‑host Savannah Guthrie turned to Instagram on Sunday to renew her public plea for any information about her 84‑year‑old mother, Nancy Guthrie, who vanished from her Tucson, Arizona home on 1 February.

Guthrie posted an old drawing made by her daughter, depicting an umbrella and the words, “I know it might not seem like it but I really need my mommy.” She paired the image with a photograph of Nancy and wrote, “Found this old drawing from my daughter today. It says so much about how I feel. The world goes on, things appear ‘normal’ – as we try to keep going and be strong, especially for our young kids – but it’s not and it never will be.”

“We ache for her, we cry out for answers, we cannot move forward,” Guthrie continued, pleading for anyone with knowledge to step forward. “We want to celebrate her and give her the dignity she deserves. The reward is still available. Please. We are begging you. Please help us.”

She added gratitude to those who have shown kindness and asked supporters to “join us in praying without ceasing.”

This appeal follows an earlier Instagram post in August, where Guthrie urged, “someone to come forward” with any detail—whether it be a suspect, a piece of writing from ransom notes, or any strange observation. That earlier message reiterated a family‑offered $1 million reward.

Investigators have documented drops of blood on the Guthrie porch and recovered DNA from a glove found about two miles (3.2 km) from the home. The glove initially seemed to match one worn by a suspect captured on surveillance footage the night of the disappearance, but later testing showed it belonged to a restaurant worker, not the abductor.

The FBI has added a $100,000 reward for “conclusive information” and is searching for a male suspect described as approximately 5 ft 9 in to 5 ft 10 in tall with an average build.

In July, authorities released two ransom notes sent to a Tucson television station. The first, dated 2 February, claimed Nancy was unharmed but frightened and demanded $4 million in cryptocurrency for her release. A second note, received four days later, asserted she had died shortly after the abduction.

No arrests have been made, and officials have not confirmed whether Nancy Guthrie is still alive. Savannah Guthrie continues to use her national platform to keep the case in the public eye, sharing updates and urging anyone with information to contact law enforcement.

As the family endures this painful uncertainty, the hope remains that a new lead will finally bring answers.
